WEDNESADAY:
You are eagerly invited to join a discussion on the current conflicts in the Middle East and elsewhere and how they relate to the religion of Islam and its approximately 1.6 billion believers. Join us in the ACC Pinnacle Campus room 1013.
This discussion will focus on:
• the general history and beliefs of Islam,
• the different perspectives on the faith,
• the issue of culture and ethnicity in the region and
• how politics and power play into these factors.
We hope this will be an enlightening and encouraging discussion as we present and distinguish facts from fiction on this topic.
Discussion will be led by Dr. Samuel Echevarria-Cruz, ACC Associate Professor and Chair Dept. of Sociology and Social Work
