Retiring in 2005 from the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserves after 25 years of service to this great nation, he has worked in various fields of business and governmental service management prior to taking a position with Wal-mart. Simon attended the University of Connecticut, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics and an MBA in management.
Being aware of the importance and necessity of higher education, and the hardships and obstacles students are facing due to exorbitant tuition levels, the Lebanese American Heritage Club has established the AASF to encourage and help these young achievers to pursue their academic dreams. Wal-mart has been a proud sponsor of the AASF over the last several years and we are honored to have the world’s largest corporation supporting this prestigious program.
