The Apple Store In The United Arab Emirates Could Be The Worlds Largest

Middle East luxury lifestyle magazine Edgar claims “insider knowledge” that the planned Apple Store in the United Arab Emirates will be the largest in the world, and will be located in a huge shopping mall in Dubai.

“US-based tech giant Apple will open its biggest store in the world at Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates, EDGAR can exclusively reveal […] Our undisclosed source said that the store – which will be the biggest Apple has ever built – was originally planned to replace the current cinema complex …”

It will be Apple’s first official retail store in the Gulf, in a country which is the 19th richest in the world and a popular premium tourist destination noted for its luxury goods market.

Mall of the Emirates would certainly offer a suitably grand environment for the world’s largest Apple Store, home to more than 700 stores including 80 designer brands, two 5-Star hotels and the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East featuring five ski runs, its longest over 1200 feet.

Based on hiring patterns, the store looks likely to open around February next year.

Tim Cook visited Dubai in February, visiting a number of independent Apple resellers.
