Palm Palace to Open First of Several Mediterranean Restaurants on July 30 in Clinton Township, Michigan
Dearborn based Palm Palace Restaurants, Inc., announced plans to open 5-8 Palm Palace Restaurants in Southeastern Michigan plus units in Ohio and Chicago with the first to open on Wednesday, July 30 at 15570 Hall Road, Clinton Township, just west of the Lakeside Mall.
The new restaurants will feature a Mediterranean cuisine with a variety of menu items from around the world and entrees created and developed by local and internationally trained chefs.
Clinton J. Hamet, Palm Palace chief operating officer, a native of Trenton, MI and restaurant industry veteran who has served with Marco’s Franchising, LLC in Toledo, OH, A&W Restaurants and Long John Silver’s Restaurants in Detroit, and as president of Toramina Pizza in Metro Detroit, announced the Palm Palace Plans.
“We want to deliver a memorable dining experience with a range of menu price points that are affordable,” Hamet said. “Our Executive Chef Jamil Eid is the foremost expert of Mediterranean cuisine in the Midwest. He will bring to Palm Palace many of the recipes he has developed over the last 50 years in Africa, Australia, Lebanon and here in Detroit at a now defunct chain.”
“To our knowledge, there is no multiple unit type restaurant company in the U.S. that focuses on healthy, Mediterranean food,” Hamet said. “Our goal is to be the premier Mediterranean restaurant chain in the United States.”
The first Palm Palace location will celebrate its Grand Opening on July 30 with proceeds being donated to Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
According to Hamet, each location will hire up to 50 full and part time employees.
“We plan to develop a customer and employee friendly Palm Palace culture where everyone can have an enjoyable multi cultural, healthy and quality food experience,” Hamet said.
