Officials Plan to Lure Mideast Firms with State Water
Lt. Gov. John Cherry and Michigan Economic Development Corp. officials are heading to the Mideast, hoping to lure businesses with Michigan’s abundant water.
They are leaving Saturday and are to return Nov. 23, spending most of the trip in Israel and also stopping in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Cherry is one of three Democrats and six Republicans running to replace Gov. Jennifer Granholm next year.
