Nida Samona Named Senior Vice President of Operations at Michigan's Arab-American and Chaldean Council (ACC)
It is with great pleasure that the Arab-American and Chaldean Council (ACC) announced the appointment of Ms. Nida Samona as Senior Vice President of Operations. Ms. Samona, an attorney, has served in leadership capacities at the local, county and state levels, including Senior Executive Projects Manager for Wayne County. Samona was appointed as the Director of the State of Michigan Liquor Control Commission, serving in that capacity for eight years. Formerly, a Macomb County Assistant Prosecutor and elected Councilwoman for the City of Southfield, Ms. Samona holds a Juris Doctor from the Detroit College of Law, a fellow graduate of the Michigan Political Leadership Program (MPLP) through Michigan State University. Samona, is a member of the Michigan and Illinois Bar Association, a past Board Member of the Arab-American and Chaldean Bar Association, the Women’s Law Association, the Governor’s Arab-American Association, and the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association (NABCA).
Arab American and Chaldean Council (ACC) is the premier non-profit human service organization providing services to the Middle Eastern and mainstream communities in Southeast Michigan. Furthermore, ACC provides better opportunities to enable newcomers to adjust to their new environment. deliver human services, counseling and opportunities, gear community members towards achievement, and empower through employment training and placement.
