Jordanian Ambassador to the U.S. Prince Zeid Ra'ad Zeid Al-Hussein to Visit Detroit Jordanian Community--POSTPONED

The Jordanian Ambassador has tentatively rescheduled his visit to Michigan in July 2008.

His Highness Prince Zeid Ra’ad Zeid Al-Hussein, the Jordanian Ambassador to the U.S. will meet with members of the greater Detroit Jordanian and Arab American community at a special reception Monday, May 12, 2008. The reception is from 5:30pm-7:00pm and will be held at St. George Cultural Center, 2160 E. Maple Road, Troy, Michigan

Prince Zeid bin Ra’ad bin Zeid Al-Hussein (born 26 January 1964) is Jordan’s Ambassador to the United States and non-resident Ambassador to Mexico.

He was previously the kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations; a post he held six and a half years (2000-2007).

Prince Zeid was born in Amman, the eldest son of Prince Ra’ad bin Zeid, the head of the Royal House of Iraq and pretender to the Iraqi throne. He was educated at Reed’s School, Surrey before gaining a B.A. in 1987 from the Johns Hopkins University, and a Ph.D. from Christ’s College, Cambridge in 1993.
