 Am\n\nMr. Wolff will discuss the following topics and take questions on ho
 w the K-12 education system operates in Israel and how it might be improve
 d.\n\n	The impact and challenges of a divided education system  (“secul
 ar” Jewish\, religious Jewish\, ultra-orthodox\, and Arab).\n	The reason
 s for the relatively mediocre performance of Israel’s K-12 education sys
 tem.\n	Efforts by NGOs as well as the Government of Israel to  increase l
 earning achievement\, especially of  disadvantaged groups\, and to  str
 engthen the concept of a shared society.\n	How the Reform movement in Isra
 el is working in the secular  education system to build a deeper understa
 nding of Jewish culture\, religion and belief.\n\nMr. Wolff worked 24 year
 s at the World Bank as an education projects officer in Latin America\, Af
 rica\, and the Middle East.  He has consulted for UNESCO\, USAID\, the I
 nter-American Development Bank\, and others\, and published numerous paper
 s and reports on education policy issues around the world.  Mr. Wolff has
  a doctorate  (Ed.D.)  from Harvard Graduate School of Education in edu
 cation planning and administration.\n\nYou can find two of the papers he h
