The Arab Students’ Association at UF and SG Multicultural Affairs Cabinet cordially invite you to the 8th Annual Arabic Ball – a lively celebration of Arab culture through food, music and dance! Join us at this classy event for an unforgettable night as you get a taste of Arab culture!! A full-course, delicious Middle Eastern dinner will be served, followed by live music and dancing, and traditional performances. We are honored to have the renowned singer Emad Batayeh entertaining us with his live band from Michigan this year! Also performing are the Freedom Dabka Group from New York City, bellydancers Bayan Bari and Jesenia Lopez, and Khaleeji dancer Leela Corman! This is a party you don’t want to miss!!!

When: Saturday, March 14th. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
Where: Reitz Union Grand Ballroom (686 Museum Road, Gainesville, FL 32611)
Attire: Formal

Limited seating is available, reserve your ticket now before spots run out! Tickets are a suggested optional donation of $10 for UF students, and $15 for non-UF students. There are several ways you can get your tickets:

1) ASA will have Office Hours at the ASA desk in the Reitz Union 2nd Floor Gallery this Mon-Wed from 10 am – 6=5 pm. Drop by anytime to pick up a ticket! The Gallery is on the 2nd floor of the Reitz Union, next to the Auditorium, and our table is on the right after entering. An officer will be there at all times. ASA will also be tabling at Turlington Plaza this Thursday, and the week of March when we come back from break (before the Ball).

2) You can contact any of the following officers or chairs, and arrange to pick up tickets from them! (preferably please text your requests)

What will be on our menu? A full service buffet featuring mouthwatering tabbouleh, hummus, stuffed grapeleaves, spanakopita, Arabic-style eggplant musakka , kofta kabob, chicken shish tawook, spiced rice pilaf, and basbousa/nammoura/hriseh semolina cake! All meat is halal, and several of the options are vegetarian!
