“The Princes of Bees” was filmed and directed by Bassel Shahdeh, a Syrian American Fulbright student, that went back to Syria in 2012 to document the uprisings. Through the course of his work, he was killed that year. His work lives on through collaboration with Syrian activist and filmmakers on the ground. Our organization members will be baking fresh cookies in collaboration with DoSomething.org, this nationwide campaign is to support children and babies in Syria over this cold winter by raising funds. This money will go directly to UNHCR and the Karam Foundation working on the ground to provide blankets, baby formula, and support services within Syria.
