She has a n interest in the mental health needs of Muslims and Muslim families. Her doctoral dissertation was titled\, "Attitudes Among Muslim Americans towar d Psychotherapy."\n\n \;\n\nUstadh Ubaydullah Evans instructs through Ta'leef Collective and the Inner-City Muslim Action Network (IMAN)\, in a ddition to his position as scholar-in-residence at the American Learning I nstitute for Muslims (ALIM). He has studied at Chicagoland's Institute of Islamic Education (IIE)\, in Tarim\, Yemen\, and Al-Azhar University in Ca iro\, Egypt.\n\n \;\n\nShaykh Hamzah Maqbul studied traditional Islam ic studies in countries across the world\, including Syria\, Egypt\, Mauri tania\, the UAE\, and Pakistan. He has taught as a resident scholar at the Thawr Institute and at Darul Qasim.
