The atrocities committed last summer by the IDF and ordered by Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu show that the movement to #FreePalestine must continue to grow and push for both justice, equality, and an end to the state of apartheid that characterizes Israel. In 51 days 2,189 Palestinians were killed, 513 of whom were children and 70% of which were under the age 12. This brutality can no longer be endured, permitted, or aided by the US government’s unwillingness to condemn Israel’s crimes or by our 3 billion annually in military aid.

The American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is the largest and most powerful lobby in Washington and continues to work to justify and/or negate Israel’s crimes. AIPAC successfully infiltrates both parties and strengthens Israel’s power and colonial state by effectively shaming any politician who stands up for Palestinian rights and convincing others that America’s unwavering military and diplomatic support for Israel makes the world and the U.S. a safer place.
