Georgia Center for the Book is pleased to host discussion with Sandy Tolan about his new book, Children of the Stone: The Power of Music in the Hard Line, May 1, 2015. Tolan is author of The Lemon Tree, a classic account of Israeli-Palestinian relations, and his new book offers another perspective on the region’s search for peace as he follows Ramzi Hussein Aburedwan from his stone-throwing days as an eight-year-old Palestinian through his career as a violist with Daniel Barenboim’s West-Eastern Divan orchestra.
