 Day on May 3rd\, we are holding a panel discussion to raise awareness abou
 t the status of press freedom in both the Middle East and North Africa (ME
 NA) region and Pakistan\, and explain the different perspectives (laws/con
 ditions/threats) which ultimately put journalists and press affiliates as

  efforts by governments and other groups to control the flow of informatio
 n. Freedom of expression is an essential human right\, and Amnesty Interna
 tional works to protect those who find themselves at risk simply for exerc
