  mainly focuses on security topics in the Mediterranean\, gender issues\, 
 and public policies. She has published several books including Political C
 ulture in Libya (2013)\, From Forced Reconciliation to Recognition: The Ab
 u Salim Case in Historical Perspective (2013)\, and Security Policies in L
 ibya(2004). El-Obeidi currently serves as an Associate Professor of Compar
 ative Politics at the University of Benghazi\, which has now closed due to
  the current conflict in Libya.\n\n
