 esirable Elements Series.\n\n\nBeyond Sacred:  Unthinking Muslim Identit
 y\nLaGuardia Performing Arts Center (LPAC) will present an interdisciplina
 ry artistic and academic program entitled Beyond Sacred: Unthinking Musli
 m Identity for the entirety of its 2014-15 season. Beyond Sacred kicks 
 off with a community forum on 9/11 and culminates with a new production in

 eries.\n\nThe Goal\n\nBeyond Sacred's goal is to create a cohesive cultur
 al program that illuminates life experiences of culturally identified Musl
 ims in 21st century\, post 9/11 New York City\, and results in greater und
 erstanding among Muslim and non-Muslim communities in NYC. More...\n\n&nbs
 p\;\nCommunity Forums\n&nbsp\;\n\nUtilizing theater to stimulate group tal
 k\, New York Theatre of the Oppressed trained actors and mentors will work
  with LAGCC Humanities students to create a safe haven for 5 community dis
 cussions.\n\n&nbsp\;\n"Call to Discussion" Series\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe "Call to
  Discussion" Series examines Islamic culture from a wide range of perspect
 ives. These academic led conversations explore gender in Islam\; Islamic i
 dentity in post 9/11 America\; terminology\; and a variety of specific iss
 ues and taboos affecting this community.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n\nCommunity For
