DESCRIPTION:WASHINGTON\, D.C.\n\nThe purpose of this event is to continue a
  community conversation sparked by last year's White House Iftar. This is 
 an open invitation for everyone to share ideas\, foster collaboration\, an
 d initiate concrete action to positively impact the American Muslim commun
 ity. This will be an opportunity to hear about and participate in new init
 iatives everyone will be talking about. So pull up a chair and join us in 
 Washington\, D.C. on Saturday\, June 27th\, 2015.\n\nThe deadline to submi
 t a proposal is Friday\, May 15th at midnight. The Grassroots Iftar will p
 rovide an opportunity for those proposing initiatives to present their ide
 a at the iftar and:\n\n- Win $1\,000 in seed money\, decided by votes from
  the iftar attendees\n- Connect with and recruit like-minded attendees to 
 participate in their proposed initiative\n- Gain access to attendees who m
 ay want to financially contribute directly to the initiative\n\nTo submit
