While formal structures of governance establish rights and responsibiliti es\, there are many additional forms of governance people use to orchestra te and affirm their community membership\, among them are civic organizati ons\, community groups\, and NGOs. Registration fees cover the cost of lu nches &\; coffee (Thursday-Saturday)\, printing\, technology\, and venu e fees.\nWhat is the Optional Friday Night at the DIA Event?\nThe optional Friday night event will be a visit to the Detroit Institute of Art where we shall eat dinner in the cafeteria\, roam the museum or sit and reflect whilst listening to some jazz. We need to gauge attendence to let the DIA know how many of us to expect. You will be responsible for all costs which will include your meal and an $8 museum entrance fee.\nWhat are my transp ort/parking options getting to the conference?\nThe closest parking lot to the McGregor Memorial Conference Center is Lot 31. Parking is $7 and you will need a credit/debit card for entry and exit.\nThe conference hotel\, The Inn on Ferry\, will provide a shuttle to and from the university for c onference attendees.
