 rnalist Lia Tarachansky looks at Israelis’ collective denial of the fate
 ful events of 1948 when the state of Israel was born and most of the Pales
 tinians became refugees. She follows the transformation of Israeli veteran
 s as they struggle through their denial of their role in the war that chan
 ged the region forever. Tarachansky then turns the camera on herself and t
 ravels back to the West Bank settlement where she grew up\, and where the 
 collective amnesia of the war events has given birth to a new generation\,
  blind to\, and isolated from its surroundings. Attempting to shed a light
  on the nation’s biggest taboo\, she is met with outrage and violence. S
