 ___\nThree students were shot dead on Tuesday\, February 10\, 2015 in Chap
 el Hill\, North Carolina. They were:\n- 23 year old Deah Shaddy Barakat\;\
 n- 21 year old Yusor Mohammad (wife to Deah)\;\n- 19 year old Razan Mohamm
 ad Abu-Salha (sister to Yusor).\n\nWith a heavy heart\, we invite the larg
 er community to gather at Pace University in honor of the victims' student
 -hood. With the will of Allaah\, The Almighty\, we will pray for them and 
 their families\, discuss their significant contributions to their respecti
 ve communities\, and share our thoughts on what lies ahead for the rest of
  us.\n\nCandles will be distributed\, but we ask that you bring some if yo
 u can! Flowers and posters are also welcomed.\n\nAllaah says in The Qur'an

 ugh perseverance and prayer. Indeed\, Allaah is with those who persevere.\
 n\nAnd do not say about those who are killed in the way of Allaah\, "They 
 are dead." Rather\, they are alive\, but you perceive [it] not.\n\nAnd We 
 will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealt
 h and lives and fruits\, but give good tidings to those who persevere\,\n\
 nWho\, when disaster strikes them\, say\, "Indeed we belong to Allaah\, an
 d indeed to Him is our return."\nThose are the ones upon whom are blessing
 s from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.
