Donor-Advised Funds at CAAP Grant Over $100,000 to Arab American Organizations
From May to September, the Center for Arab American Philanthropy (CAAP) granted $101,125 to Arab American organizations across the country through 30 individual Donor-Advised Funds housed at CAAP. The Donor-Advised Funds were established by individual donors and matched 75 cents for every dollar with funds from the Cultures of Giving Fund, established at the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors with major support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
By establishing a fund through CAAP, individuals directed their charitable giving to organizations they cared about while relying on CAAP to manage the administrative details of their philanthropy. A few of the organizations that received grants from Donor-Advised Funds include the Arab American Association of Engineers and Architects, the American Arab Heritage Council, and the American Druze Foundation.
With the establishment and management of Donor-Advised Funds, CAAP is making history by developing into the premier philanthropic agency serving the Arab American community. CAAP has developed the experience and reputation for providing high-quality Donor-Advised Fund services and grantmaking. CAAP works with donors to ensure that their funds are directed to organizations and causes they care about, while giving greater visibility to Arab American philanthropy.
