If a house is made of walls and beams, a home is built with love and dreams. WELCOME HOME! Welcome to Our Lady of Lebanon Parish, in Washington, DC, the Home built with love and dreams.
Once a young student approached the famous French scientist and philosopher, Blaise Pascal, and declared, "If I had your brains, I would be a better person."
Pondering the depth of that statement, Pascal paused momentarily before replying, "Be a better person, and you will have my brain."
Almost every person wishes to be like Christ. Our Church stands as a reminder to be better people, God's people, Christ's. May the following statement of St. Theresa be the prayer of all of us, parishioners and friends:
"Christ has
No body on earth but yours;
No hands but yours;
No feet but yours;
Yours are the eyes
Through which he is to look out
Christ's compassion to the world;
Yours are the feet
With which he is to go about
Doing good;
Yours the hands
With which he is to bless now."
