Inspired by world traditions in bread and service. New York’s Damascus Bakeries opened its community bakery in 1930 with America’s Original Pita Bread. Now 80 years and generations later, our dedication to providing delicious bread solutions to both the retail and food services environment continues to tantalize buds nationwide.
Damascus Bakeries first opened its doors in 1930 by our (maternal) grandfather. The bakery, nestled in the heart of a Middle Eastern community in downtown Brooklyn, was named after Grandfather’s childhood home in Syria. He was the neighborhood bread-maker, living above the bakery, and starting his day long before sunrise. He was passionate. He was an artist. He made delicious Syrian bread (Pita bread). And, he was the community’s best kept secret for many years.
Some 30 years later, our father entered the business with new dreams. Dad wanted to put Damascus flat breads on every dinner table, which meant the introduction of automation and marketing ethnic breads into mainstream America. He purchased equipment and made the necessary adjustments himself to ensure quality with increased mass production. In 1969, Damascus Bakeries started shipping its line of pita breads to restaurants and markets nationwide. Thanks to Dad’s efforts, Damascus was able to expand our geographic reach and our growing fan base without compromising taste or quality.
Today, our processes and automated procedures are extensive; however, we remain very hands-on. We haven’t lost “touch” of the artisan quality and work closely with our equipment manufacturers to guarantee we have the best tools in place to create the most delicious breads.
Damascus Bakeries is part of our family. We were born into it. Our grandfather started it, our mother grew up in it, our father married into it, and we were essentially raised in its kitchen. Our passion derives from their passion. For us, bread is a labor of love and food is very emotional. Thank you for breaking bread with us.

DJ Ayman Soliman strive to be the best Arabic DJ in USA. With chances to travel the world, he has managed to build his extensive music collection. His playlist generally includes any of the following: American music of all genres, Arabic music, Latin music, as well as Greek, French, Persian, Turkish, Kurdish, Armenian, Indian and African tunes. Each playlist he craft for any event is made with careful forethought to make sure you and your guests get what you expect.

DJ Tamer with his partner, DJ Ayman Soliman has performed in different clubs and events all over the world. The ability to create an intimate atmosphere and communicate with the audience precisely has gained him a significant advantage over the other DJs.
Achievements
DJ Tamer & DJ Ayman have hosted over 50 concerts in different countries of the world including the cities of USA, Canada, Australia and Egypt. He has worked with numerous Middle Eastern artists such as Tamer Hosny, Amr Diab etc and various famous international stars like Akon, Shakira, Snoop Dogg, Pitbull, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, Drake, DJ David Guetta, DJ Bob,Sinclair – DJ Tiesto, DJ Benny Benassi, DJ David Vendatta – DJ Kurd Maverick, DJ Out Work – DJ Alex Guadino – DJ Guro Guch Project, Paris Hilton, Fragma, Nadia Ali and many more.
Also Tamer worked in the audio production with middle eastern and American artists such as Tamer Hosny, Akon, Pit Bull, Snoop Dogg, Shaggy, DJ Khaledm, Ace Hood, T Pain and DJ Paul Oakenfoald.
At present, Tamer plays at various nightclubs in Washington DC like Darna Lounge, Lima club, Fuji Mar, MIA and likewise. He is also the winner of wedding wire couple choice awards in 2014 and wedding wire bride’s choice awards in 2013. Tamer also performed as the main DJ and organizer of the successful tour of the super star Tamer Hosny and the super star Amr Diab in USA and Canada 2011-2012.
