Ajyal Theatrical Group Presents Comedy Play, "Shoufou Alwawa Wayn" October 29, 30 and 31
The Ajyal Theatrical Group, under the direction of its founder, Najee Mondalek presents “Shoufou Alwawa Wayn” on October 29 thru October 31 at the Ford Performing and Community Arts Center in Dearborn.
The play is written by Mondalek and directed by Ray Alcodray.
The play centers on the global economic meltdown which has come home to roost in the living room of Im Hussein and her loving neighbor and best friend Im-Elias. What’s a few loans between friends–everything when over extension on credit leads to her house being foreclosed and bankruptcy all but certain. Finally divorce, life insurance, and kidnapping–all this and more in the latest comedy rage to hit the stage from the playwright Najee Mondalek.
“Shoufou Alwawa Wayn” (“Where Does IT Hurt” ) is a hilarious exploration of what happens when Im-Hussein’s less than astute son Hussein attempts to single handedly remedy the family business woes by putting a series of convoluted money making schemes into action that make the global financial crisis look like child’s play. Watch the incomparable Im-Hussein assess the situation and use her wisdom to avoid disaster!
The Ajyal Theatrical Group was founded in Michigan in 1988 and has successfully toured New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Detroit, Portland, Houston, Chicago, Toledo, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Windsor, Sydney and Beirut.
