ADC Michigan Restructures with an Eye on Unity and Greater Empowerment
On Friday, March 25, 2011, the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) – Greater Detroit Chapter and its newly formed General Board conducted its first meeting in order to restructure, reorganize and refresh the Chapter. ADC Greater Detroit Board Members discussed a vision and plans for launching new initiatives which will bridge the gap among various community-based organizations and institutions.
The General Board expressed its solid commitment to the traditional values of ADC in fighting for civil rights, civil liberties and serving the American-Arab community. The General Board recognized the
tremendous challenges facing the community and the need to meet these challenges with unity and coordinated efforts among all.
The General Board members will convene again in the near future in order to elect the Chapter’s Executive Board Committee. The General Board also recognized the efforts of Attorney Mona Fadlallah, former Chapter President, and all the former board members who served the ADC Greater Detroit Chapter over the past few years.
Imad Hamad, ADC Sr. National Advisor & Regional Director, said:”We are one team, we have one mission and work as family at ADC”. “The new ADC Greater Detroit Chapter’s Board is a great addition to our community, and we look forward to working together on issues that matter to American-Arabs, and anyone who feels the sting of hate and discrimination.” Hamad continued.

Zainab Aljebori, Dr. Tamam Mohamad, Mr. Amir Jabri, Dr. Ola Elsaid, Dr. Daw Alwerfalli, Atty. Fawzea Abusalah, Mr. Ali Mansour, Mr. Adeeb Mozip, Mr. Mohamad Qazaz, Atty. Ali Hammoud and Mr. Joseph Mourani.
ADC Michigan congratulates the newly formed ADC Greater Detroit Chapter General Board and looks forward to working with them to advance the ADC cause and mission in the State of Michigan.
