ADC Announces Khalil Gibran Fellow Position
The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) in Washington, DC is seeking a Khalil Gibran Fellow for 2011-2012, as part of its commitment to preserving and enhancing the heritage and culture of Arab-Americans.
The primary duties of the Khalil Gibran Fellow will include:
· The establishment of a campaign to urge the US Postal Service to issue a “Khalil Gibran Stamp”
· Establishing programs aimed at preserving the heritage and culture of Arab Americans
· Assisting in the development of strategic plans that will further the cultural mission of ADC
· Planning ADC events and initiatives, such as the ADC National Convention
· Researching grant and funding opportunities available to ADC
Qualifications: Undergraduate degree (or higher) in communications, public policy, or related social science field
Skills: persuasive, creative thinker who can follow through and oversee a task from beginning to end, excellent writing skills and presentation skills
Compensation: Monthly stipend, 20-25 hours per week

The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) is seeking membership coordinators from around the country to recruit new members and expand ADC’s membership base in the Arab American community nationally. The ideal candidate should be passionate about ADC’s mission to protect the civil and human rights of Arab Americans, and to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Arab American community.
Qualifications: excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills
Compensation: monthly stipend and/or commission. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available immediately
