Call for 2012 NAAMA Board & Foundation Nominations

Elections for the 2012 NAAMA National Board of Directors and NAAMA Foundation Board of Trustees will take place soon after the September Annual Delegates Meeting in Las Vegas.

Opportunities exist for NAAMA members in good standing to help forge the future of our great organization by taking leadership positions.

Open 2012 director and trustees positions and a quick review of responsibilities are:

President-elect: attend all meetings of the Association and be a member of the Board of Directors and all committees with the right to vote (1-year term)
Vice President: attend all meetings of the Association and be a member of the Board of Directors with the right to vote (1-year term)
Executive Secretary: support and oversee the Association’s membership initiatives and maintain a liaison relationship with the chapters to promote membership growth (1-year term)
Chief Financial Officer: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) shall be custodian of the funds of the Association and keep account of the same (1-year term).

To qualify for an Executive Officer position, a member must:

1. Have been continuously in good standing for at least three full years prior to nomination with all dues having been fully paid from the first of the year and;
2. Have served at least one term in any of the following positions:
a. Delegate; or,
b. Member of the Association’s Board of Directors; or,
c. Officer of a chapter; or,
d. Member of a chapter’s Board of Directors.

Three Members of the Association’s Board of Directors: help set the directions and make major decisions concerning the Association (3-year term)
Two Members of the NAAMA Foundation’s Board of Trustees: approve expenditures of the Foundation and Liaison Committees and must be member of the Ibn Al Nafis Fellow donor category ($5,000-$9,999) or greater (3-year term).

Interested and qualifying members should complete the approved online nomination form (one form per nominee), which will be forwarded to their chapter president.
