ACCESS Names Dr. John Artis Administrative Chief Operating Officer
Executive Director Hassan Jaber announced today that Dr. John Artis has been named Administrative Chief Operating Officer.
Artis will provide program management and oversee all ACCESS departments with multiple programs.
He will monitor programs in relation to strategic plan, identify target population needs, evaluate program performance, implement strategic plan goals, policies and procedures and administer program integration. Artis will report directly to Hassan Jaber, executive director of ACCESS.

Artis joins ACCESS after leading the Dearborn Public Schools as superintendent for the past six years.
“Dr. Artis is a man of vision and integrity. He will provide ACCESS with the necessary leadership to further develop our strategic plan,” said Andrea Awada, president, Board of Directors.
Artis earned a Doctorate in Education Administration and Curriculum from the University of Wisconsin, a Master of Arts from DePaul University, and a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois.
