ADC & CAIR Mobilize Over 100,000 Arab & Muslim American Voters

The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC), and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) — the nation’s largest Arab and Muslim American civil rights organizations — are mobilizing voters through a get-out-the-vote (GOTV) campaign that includes a national call tonight from comedian and CNN contributor Dean Obeidallah.

Tonight’s call urges Arab and Muslim American voters to go to the polls tomorrow and will be heard by tens of thousands of voters living in swing states like Florida, Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

“Tomorrow is an opportunity for all community members to have our voice heard on important issues such as the economy, jobs, education, and foreign policy. This is a crucial election, and regardless of party affiliation, it is important to exercise your right to vote,” said ADC President, Warren David.

VPU to protect voter rights on Election Day

Voter suppression efforts have brought back memories of Jim Crow laws and the uphill battle during the Civil Rights Era. With discrimination at the polls and a strong movement against the right to vote, your involvement tomorrow is more important than in past presidential elections.

Know Your Rights.

Tomorrow, with our collective voice, we can let the world know that the effort to suppress the minority vote will not deter Americans from exercising their most fundamental right.

ADC’s Voter Protection Unit (VPU) has been hard at work the past few months. Volunteers in states across the country will be poll monitoring and ensuring the rights of voters are protected tomorrow.
