Seton Hall’s Students for Justice in Palestine is hosting Dr. Deepa Kumar, author of “Islamophobia & the Politics of Empire,” to discuss how the media fuels Islamophobia, the origins of Islamophobia, its prevalence, and how to peacefully combat it.

Dr. Deepa Kumar, a Rutgers University Media Studies professor, has conducted extensive research on both media and Islamophobia. She has written two books and is currently working on her third. You can learn more about her on her website:
