Taste Of Faith | McCormick Lounge | 1 – 3 PM
Join us for a feast and chat as we explore the diverse cultures of Muslims worldwide! Then, take part in “speed-faithing” with all the attendees!

Panel: Cupcakes with Chaplains | McCormick Lounge | 6 PM
Speakers: Omer Mozaffar, Tahera Ahmad, Abdul Malik Ryan, and Tahir Abdullah
Topic: Who Speaks for Islam?
Gain insight through a discussion with four Muslim Chaplains as to why there is a lack of a unified representation for moderate Muslims and how we can form a unified voice that can speak for Islam!

Exploring Islamic Art | Damen MPR South | 1 – 3 PM
Explore a student-led exhibit on Islamic Art and spoken word performances! Attendees will also have a chance to have their name written in Arabic by student calligraphists as well get henna tattoos!

Reclaiming Our Voices Through Social Activism | Damen MPR South | 6 PM

Attend a talk on the importance of social activism and involvement in issues within our community!

Wednesday, March 18th

Walk A Mile in Her Hijab
Pledge to wear a hijab (headscarf) for a day!
This event seeks to educate people about the essence of hijab and why Muslim women wear it. Stop by Damen Student Center from 10 AM to 4 PM to have your photo taken during this memorable experience!

TeaTalk: A Dialogue on Hijab | Bremner Lounge | 5 PM

Reflect and engage in a talk over tea on your experience with the “Walk a Mile in Her Hijab” event!

Jokes’n’Jihad: Breaking The Awkward Silence | Mullady Theater | 7:30 PM

Bagged Lunches: Serving Our Neighbors | Damen MPR | 11 AM – 2 PM
Help pack lunches for our neighbors in Rogers Park! This popular service event aims to bring the Loyola community together to help serve the larger Chicago area.

Globalization of Muslim Women’s Voices | Bremner Lounge | 4 PM

Learn about the prominent impact of globalization on Muslim ideas, practices, and movements regarding women and gender relations around the world today!

Entertainment Night | LSB 142 | 7 PM
Join us for a showcase of talent from among the hundreds of individuals involved in the Muslim Students’ Association at Loyola. Popular acts include musical performances, acapella groups, poets, rappers, entertaining student-made videos, and improv comedy.
Prize will be awarded for a short video with a powerful message!

What is Jummu’ah? Attend a short information session on the significance of the Friday prayer. All are welcome and questions are encouraged!
