CALIFORNIA

Learn some of the most fundamental and commonly used odd metered rhythms: 5/8 Shoush, 6/8 Persian, 7/8 Laz, 9/8 Aksak and 10/8 Samai. We will drill these patterns and maybe even come up with a short composition to help with knowledge and timing. This class is open to all levels of drumming. Dancers and drummers will walk away with a deeper knowledge of odd metered rhythms in order to develop more intricate choreography and compositions.
