ADC to Participate in OSCE Roundtable on Intolerance and Discrimination Against Muslims in “Youth and Education”
Nawar Shora, Legal Director for the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC), is scheduled to participate in an upcoming roundtable meeting hosted by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) in conjunction with the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office (CiO) on Intolerance and Discrimination against Muslims.
This will be the ninth OSCE event, in the past three years, at which ADC gives a presentation.
ADC will participate in the full-day conference on intolerance and discrimination against Muslims with a focus on “Youth and Education” on December 17 in Vienna, Austria. This meeting is designed to address the challenges facing Muslim communities including the causes and consequences of intolerance against young people and their responses.
The round table will also address Intolerance and Discrimination against Muslims in Education with a focus on Exclusion and Alienation.
ADC is set to address the session on issues related to discrimination and intolerance against Muslim youth within the scope of school systems, acquaintances, and civil society.
ADC will also discuss challenges facing Muslim communities in the educational field and opportunities for cooperation with other communities, governmental bodies, and civil society.
