American Arab Chamber Announces National Awardees Wassim and Carol Hojeij
The American Arab Chamber of Commerce (AACC) is excited to announce that we will be presenting Wassim Hojeij and Carol Hojeij with the 2008 National Business Person of the Year Award at our 16th Annual Building Economic Bridges Banquet.
The event is just one day away, on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at the Marriott Renaissance Center in Downtown Detroit.
Each year, the Chamber recognizes an Arab American who has made a mark on the business world. Wassim and Carol Hojeij are Atlanta-based businesspersons whose savvy has led to great success. Hojeij Branded Foods operates several establishments in Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, an international travel hub. Wassim and Carol Hojeij are also proud community servants, receiving awards from the City of Atlanta.
“They are exemplars to the entire Arab-American business community,” says AACC Executive Director Fay Beydoun. “Like many of our members, Mr. and Mrs. Hojeij embody the American dream. Their hard work and determination stand as an inspiration for all of us, and we are proud to name them our National Businesspersons of the Year.”
